Specialist Clinical Psychologist, Band 7

Fixed Term: 12 months

Part time: 18.75 Hours per week

Are you looking for opportunities to deepen your experience of working in Older People’s mental health? Do you have an interest in neuropsychological assessment, and in working therapeutically with individuals, families, and groups in the context of dementia and with a highly skilled and supportive multi-disciplinary team? If so, we would love to hear from you.

We are looking for an HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist to join Bexley Memory Service, undertaking individualised neuro/psychological assessments and providing therapy to individuals, families, and groups, as well as consultation and training to the team, and contributing to and evaluating innovations in the Service. We are open to offering this as a secondment or fixed term contract.

The successful applicant will be part of a well-established, dynamic, and specialist multi-disciplinary team, committed to responsive, inclusive, and person-centred Older People’s mental healthcare. They will join a group of Clinical Psychologists, who are embedded and valued members of the wider Older People Mental Health Service.

The post-holder will also join a larger network of Psychological Therapists in Bexley Care and across Oxleas, benefitting from a wide range of learning opportunities from specialisms in mental and community health, including Systemic Psychotherapy, CAT, DBT and neuropsychology.

Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust is committed to the continuing professional development of its staff. There are well-developed supervision and support structures, including CPD programs and embedded learning events at a Trust-wide and local level. The Trust has been rated amongst the top 10 best NHS organisations to work for in England (Health Service Journal). Our Trust-Wide Staff Survey demonstrated above national average scores, with excellent staff engagement scores across the Therapies Directorate and excellent scores overall.

Bexley Care in particular is evolving to seamlessly integrate community, mental health and social care, in line with the needs of its diverse population. The successful applicant will similarly take a holistic perspective on mental health and work adaptably with a range of colleagues and agencies.

If you are a Clinical Psychologist with the relevant experience and are looking for opportunities to develop professionally, we would welcome your application and any queries you might have regarding this post.
