Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust

Adult Community and Mental Health Directorate (Greenwich)

Intensive Case Management for Psychosis Team (West locality)

Acute inpatient

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a clinical /counselling psychologist to work in a split post 50:50 between acute inpatient/crisis and the community psychosis pathway in Greenwich; a real opportunity to improve the service user’s experience of the interface between hospital and community as they leave hospital. We welcome applicants who wish to develop systemic and group work in these settings. You will join three other Psychologists working in inpatient/crisis and a group of psychologists working in the psychosis service in Greenwich. The post holder will work collaboratively with teams in these three clinical contexts including group work, assessments, systemic and family consultations and individual therapy. The post holder will receive regular supervision in this work and will be part of a supportive peer group of psychological therapists.

Greenwich offers a rich, culturally diverse and stimulating environment from which to work from. The post holder will work with people with different backgrounds and should be committed to equal opportunities. Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust has consistently achieved high ratings in quality assessments, patient, and staff surveys with a culture of supporting staff whilst providing excellent services within a robust clinical governance framework.

We welcome applications from trainee clinical/counselling psychologists approaching the end of their training who will be eligible for HCPC registration. Within the Trust there is a newly qualified group for clinical psychologists to support professional development and transition to Band 7.

Oxleas NHS Trust operates a Probationary Period, further details are available on request.
