“I'm very excited to continue our partnership with your team again, as we've been so very pleased with the service we have received from your team so far.”

School SENCO

Do you have a passion for supporting children and young people with Speech Language and Communication Needs, educated within mainstream schools? Do you also have an interest in dysfluency and are looking for an opportunity to further develop your skills in this area?

We have a great opportunity available for a suitably experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our School Years team and to develop a clinical specialism in dysfluency, taking a lead on this area across the team.

You will be part of Greenwich Children's Integrated Therapies - Speech and Language Therapy service. Being part of a close-knit and innovative multi-disciplinary team, working collaboratively with Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy colleagues, in addition to other health and education staff.

The Service has excellent internal supervision and support structures and would provide the ideal environment to develop clinical skills and contribute towards operational projects to support service development.

Our links with partners in health and education are strong, which is emphasised by the continued commitment from the majority of schools to commission ‘top up’ speech and language therapy services directly, meaning the impact of our work is far more significant than can often be delivered within solo commissioned services.

You will provide assessment, specialist, and universal level management and support for children with communication needs. You will work alongside teachers and teaching assistants, providing training, coaching, shared planning and modelling of specific approaches.

The department offers:

• An extensive and supportive clinical team with access to Highly Specialist and Principal Therapists within clinical specialisms

• Excellent CPD opportunities for growth and development tailored to your specific needs.

• Designated admin and planning time

• Involvement in innovative research and project work contributing towards service development and best practice.

We are a large SLT team with an organisational commitment for CPD to enhance clinician’s skills within areas of clinical interest.

The service has excellent internal supervision and support structures and provides a friendly environment to develop clinical skills, with opportunities to contribute towards service development projects.

As a highly valued employee of Oxleas you will have the opportunity to access a range of networks and resources including:

  • Black and Minority Ethnic network
  • Disability Action Group
  • LGBTQ+ network
  • Lived Experience Network
  • Women’s network
