Neuro Occupational Therapist, Band 5

Fixed Term: 12 months

Full Time: 37.5 hours per week

The Greenwich Neuro Rehabilitation Team is seeking an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our team.  The team comprises of Occupational therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, a community matron, a Psychologist and therapy assistants. 

With support and training you will provide neurological OT assessment and treatment to clients presenting with neurological conditions including; Stroke (including ESD), MND, MS, Head Injury, and Parkinson’s. The post holder will be required to work in a multidisciplinary way and work jointly with the other team members to ensure that all care needs are met.  They will be required to carry out holistic assessments of clients within their own homes and devise and contribute to a multidisciplinary care plan.  This will include making onward on referrals to other agencies as appropriate.

You will also have the opportunity to supervise therapy assistants and if applicable, OT students.  You will need to be a versatile, adaptable team player who has good organisational skills.  You will be required to use multiple computer systems therefore a good knowledge of IT is essential.  The post holder should be a car driver or be able to travel independently throughout the borough of Greenwich.
